Scrooge the Musical

Presented by Prescott Valley Performing Arts on Main St in Prescott Valley. Shows are on Dec 15th at 2:30 and 7:00 pm, and Dec 16th at 2:30. This is an Adaptation of Charles Dickens’ A Christmas Carol.

Christmas Village and Christkindl Market Returns to Downtown Prescott 

2nd Annual event held between Dec 16th and 17th on Goodwin Street. Activities include Santa, Clydesdale carriage Rides, Kids’ Ferris wheel, Glamour Shots, and Traditional German foods. Also a traditional German band and Aerialist performing acrobatics and choirs from local schools. This is a free admission event, However, some activities may have a small fee. Friday from 4-8 Sat 11-8 pm Sun 11-3 pm.

The Nutcracker featuring Ballet Victoria  

Dec 16th at 7 pm and 17th at 3 pm at the Jim and Linda Lee Performing Arts Center. An original Christmas tale danced to Tchaikovsky’s (Chai-kof-skee) timeless score, lively and imaginative choreography, hilarious pantomime, beautiful costumes, magic, and a few surprises to delight the whole family. Tickets start at $29 for adults and $10 for Youth.

Humboldt Holiday Lights

Sat Dec 16th walk at Bradshaw Mountain High School. Walk through at 4:30 pm  Drive Through at 6:30 pm. Featuring Life-size greeting cards from community members.

Prescott Girsl Basketball Keeps Rolling in Blowout Road Win Against Marcos de Niza 

Badgers won on the road 89-14. Currently, they are on a 3 game winning Steak. The next game is Saturday evening at Sandra Day O’Connor High School in Phoenix at 5 PM

Chino Valley Superintendent Submissions Close

The deadline for candidates to submit a letter of interest for the position closed at 5 pm on Thursday. The sole candidate was current CVUSD Assistant Superintendent Cindy Daniels. She’s been the assistant since 2008 and has been an educator for 35 years. She holds a master’s of education leadership from NAU and has many years of experience as an education Consultant. The next steps are two days of community Forum at Del Rio School Cafeteria on Dec 12th and 13th at 4 pm (open to the public). Dec 18th In-person interview with CVUSD Governing Board Final Vote being January 10th.
