Prescott Meals on Wheels provides much more than nutritious food. The organization delivers fresh meals, personal connections, and important wellness checks to homebound adults throughout Prescott, Prescott Valley, and parts of Dewey. Guests Ashley Hall and Neal Sneller explain how the program supports people who may be unable to safely cook or shop for themselves.
Meals are prepared fresh Monday through Friday by a trained kitchen team and dedicated volunteers. In addition, volunteer drivers deliver meals across 24 routes. During each visit, they check on clients, offer companionship, and make sure no one feels forgotten. The organization also operates a community dining room where anyone can enjoy lunch, meet neighbors, and participate in activities at the Adult Center on Rosser Street.
Prescott Meals on Wheels also helps care for clients’ pets. Through its donation-supported animal program, homebound neighbors can receive pet food each week. This service helps prevent clients from sharing their own meals with their animals or going without food themselves. As a result, both clients and their beloved companions receive the support they need.
Community members can help by delivering meals, assisting in the kitchen, serving in the dining room, or joining the Adopt-a-Route program.
