Yavapai College Foundation Earns Prestigious Non-Profit Rating 

On Friday, guideStar.org awarded the Yavapai College Foundation a Platinum Seal of Transparency for its clear, and ethical reporting. The Platinum Seal is intended to increase donor confidence, with research showing that the organization earning a seal of transparency receives 53% more in contributions.

Bradshaw Ranger District Hours Extended at Day-Use Sites 

The Bradshaw Ranger District has extended recreation area hours reflecting the longer daylight hours. Sites are now open from 7 am to 7 pm through April 30th when Summer Hours will Take effect. Affected Day-use sites include Granite Basin, Thumb Butte, and Lynx Lake. 

Volunteer for Phippen Museum Annual Western Art Show

The Phippen Museum is gearing up for the 50th annual Western Art Show and sale and is recruiting friends and neighbors to help make this year’s show and sale the best one yet. This year, the show will be held on May 24th-27th at the courthouse plaza, The Phippen Museum, and The Grand Highland Hotel, varying daily times.  link to the Google doc 

Bill Pierce Interview on Prescott Frontier Days Podcast.

Installation of Water Circulators At Watson Lake to Begin

The City of Prescott Engineering and Public Works Department, in Cooperation with their vendor partner IXOM, will begin the installation of water circulator machines at Watson Lake. These solar-powered devices will help address the pollution concerns and will help increase the dissolved oxygen in the lake and reduce the nutrients that can cause harmful algal blooms in the summertime. These machines will help polish it up considerably by improving the clarity of the water and will benefit all who visit and the wildlife that relies on these waters

The Launch Pad Celebrates 10 Years of Empowering Teens

On March 22nd, at 5 pm. Join in on the fun as The Launch Pad celebrates 10 years of empowering teens to navigate their universe. Share the Love is an annual fundraising Gala. This year, Share the Love is generously hosted by Micahel and Cody Anne Yarnes with Rent Right and Home Right, Barry Barbe with Torme, El Gato, and Greenway Catering, Mickey Sarkett with Action Wine and Spirits, and Rakini Chinery with Allan’s Flowers. Everyone who hosts the event donates 100% of their services and products. Enjoy a fun evening with these amazing community hosts and make a fun gift from your heart to support the teens.

Save Lives, Not Daylight Blood Drive 

Sunday, March 10th from 11 to 3 at the Prescott Valley Town Center. 3001 Main St.  Fain Signature Group and Vitalant Blood Donations will be hosting a Blood Drive and Blanket Drive on Daylight Savings! Bring your new or gently used blankets to the Prescott Valley town center and drop them in one of our bins near the mobile donation truck. Annie – The Musical 

Thursday, March 7th to Saturday, March 9th starting at 7 pm with a special 1 pm showing on Saturday. At the Elks Performing Arts Center in Prescott. Based on the popular comic strip by Harold Gray, Annie has become a worldwide phenomenon and was the winner of seven Tony Awards, including Best Musical. Jazz Journey – Louis Armstrong to Miles Davis to Chris Botti

Saturday, March 9th from 7 pm-9 pm at the Elks’ Crystal Hall in Prescott. Join them for their next concert in the 2024 series of jazz music exploration as they celebrate love through Jazz! Musicians from around Arizona will be joining together to present evenings that will include not only the music but also historical facts and anecdotes about the music and the musicians

He was instrumental in, not only the making of Junior Bonner, but also the growth, development, and public service of Prescott, Arizona.
