Prescott Valley Apartments Framing Up

The newest Prescott Valley apartments began framing in mid-July. What many thought was going to be a stand-alone garage adjacent to the Findlay Toyota Center is actually the Town’s newest housing project, Legado Apartments. The design is typically referred to as a “Texas Wrap” or “Texas Donut” where the garage structure is built first, then the apartment dwellings are built on the outside of the garage, wrapping it.

Prescott Hosts 2025 General Plan & Historic Preservation Master Plan Open House

Citizens are invited to an open house informational meeting about the City of Prescott 2025 General Plan and Historic Preservation Master Plan, on Wednesday, August 30 from 3 to 6 PM, at the Rowle P. Simmons Adult Center, at 1280 E. Rosser Street. City staff will provide information and are requesting input on challenges and opportunities related to Circulation (movement of people, goods, and services), Economic Development, types of Housing, Land Use, and Public Facilities and Services. The City of Prescott General Plan is a policy guide and provides a vision of what the City will become in 10 years.

Grapevine Fire 100% Contained

The Grapevine Fire is 100% contained with a secure perimeter. Firefighters will be in the fire area for the next few weeks, so we are asking the public to be very careful while in the area watching out for fire personnel and equipment.

The 35th Arizona Cowboy Poets Gathering Returns to Prescott in August

The 2023 edition of the Arizona Cowboy Poets Gathering will again take the stage at Yavapai College Performing Arts Center on August 10-12. (Thursday-Saturday) One of Prescott’s most popular annual events, this year’s Gathering features more than forty authentic cowboy poets and singers sharing the heritage and culture of the American cowboy for two days and three nights of entertainment.

FEMA and FCC Plan Nationwide Emergency Alert Test for Oct 4, 2023

The national test will consist of two portions, testing WEA and EAS capabilities. Both tests are scheduled to begin at approximately 2:20 p.m. ET on Wednesday, Oct. 4. The purpose of the Oct. 4 test is to ensure that the systems continue to be effective means of warning the public about emergencies, particularly those on the national level. In case the Oct. 4 test is postponed due to widespread severe weather or other significant events, the backup testing date is Oct. 11.

VSS International Contracting will apply Microseal to streets in Granville west of Glassford Hill Road in Prescott Valley beginning on Monday, August 7, and lasting for approximately two weeks depending on weather,
